Alban means Home Inspection Experience

ARTHUR S. LAZEROW is president of Alban Inspections. He is a nationally certified ASHI home inspector, having performed over 6,000 inspections the past twelve years. He has served both on the Board of Directors of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of ASHI and on the national Public Relations Committee of ASHI. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia, the American University Law School, and the US Navy post-graduate business school. In addition, he is a licensed Realtor, an accredited Maryland Association of Realtors public speaker and holds accreditations to perform lead-based paint assessments, radon, mold, and water and septic system testing. He is the editor of the Alban monthly newsletter Home Inspection Insights and writes a twice-monthly column for the Gazette newspapers entitled Ask Mr. Home Inspector, and a monthly column for the Frederick County Association of Realtors newsletter. Marty Blackwood is a Certified Member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI).MARTY BLACKWOOD is chief inspector of Alban Home Inspection Service, Inc., responsible for Alban’s inspection practices and protocols. He is a registered architect residing in Ashton, Maryland, and has been in the design and construction industry since 1978. With a longstanding interest in residential housing, he completed the Inspector Training Associates course in 2002. Marty has earned the national home inspector’s certification by the American Society of Home Inspectors. In addition, he heads Alban’s commercial, industrial and multi-family inspection division. He enjoys all types of puzzles and his hobbies include cooking and working with stained glass. He travels throughout metropolitan Washington, DC to perform inspections and is also available most weekends to schedule inspections and environmental testing. As Alban’s Chief Inspector, he is responsible for training all Alban home inspectors, establishing uniform protocols and presenting accredited educational seminars for Realtors. Marty is active in the local chapter of ASHI. He has been the public relations chairman of MAC-ASHI and its treasurer. (License #29750)

Rodney Shull is an ASHI Home Inspector
Rodney Shull is a Certified Member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI).RODNEY A. SHULL graduated from high school in Harrisonburg Virginia, in 1981, after which he completed two years of carpentry training at Massanhutten VoTech, with additional training in masonry, blue print reading and public relations. He has had a distinguished construction related career, first as a framing and finish trim sub-contractor then as a customer service manager. For the next eleven years, he worked as full-charge construction superintendent for K. Hovnanian, Airston Group, Pulte Homes and Rivermead Homes. Rod has earned the national home inspector’s certification by the American Society of Home Inspectors. He is a certified VA State Inspector. When not home inspecting, Rod raises quarter horses, hunts and plays an occasional round of golf. Residing in Orleans, Virginia, Rod has primary responsibility for home inspections and environmental testing in the Northern Virginia area, but he will travel to serve Alban clients throughout metropolitan Washington, D.C. Rodney is responsible for client relations. He is the contact person and he coordinates Alban’s client call-back responses with both clients and their individual home inspectors to help resolve any client concerns with respect to their home inspection issues. ROBERTO MONTIEL has the distinction of being a professional home inspector and bilingual in Spanish and English. A native of El Salvador, he emigrated to the United States in 1977. After a 24 year career as a mason and having his own company, he decided to utilize his uncommonly fine communication skills and broad knowledge of home building by becoming a home inspector. He successfully completed the Building Spec home inspector course and, during October 2001, completed Alban’s on-the-job training to qualify to perform home inspections and environmental testing for Alban. Roberto’s ability to communicate in Spanish is especially satisfying for his Hispanic home buying clients and all have raved about his work.

Art Lazerow is a Certified Member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI).Joe Dempsey, living in the District of Columbia, inspects homes throughout metropolitan Washington DC. Beginning his housing career in 1971, Joe worked for a masonry contractor, supervised installations of commercial interiors, managed a cabinetmaking shop and worked in the appliance repair industry. His knowledge of all aspects of home construction is excellent, as evidenced by his outstanding performance on the National Home Inspection Exam. He is a native of Pittsburgh, Pa. and graduated from the University of Dayton, with course work in historic preservation and environmental planning. Joe has outstanding communication skills and offers his clients a detailed educational experience.
